It is with great pleasure, on behalf of the Tamworth Camera Club, I extend an invitation to all photographers & interested persons to the 36th Annual Convention.

The Convention is open to all people interested in photography, & has two main objectives. One is a chance to get together with like minded people... to continue to learn & be inspired by fellow photographers. And the other objective is the chance for Camera Clubs in the Northern Zone to compete against each other in the Zone Competition.

This year’s Convention is to be held at the West’s Diggers Club. A public viewing of the competition images will be available on the evening of Friday 18th May. A full day of convention topics will be presented on Saturday the 19th May 2012.

We will also have a short outing on the Saturday evening to Oxley Lookout in Tamworth. Here convention attendees will be invited to photograph a classic Tamworth sunset shot with the sun setting behind our beautiful regional city. We will be entertained by some local country music artists nibble on some tasty hors d’oeuvres & sip a little champagne or orange juice. Then back by bus to the Club where we’ll have dinner & the winners of the Zone Competition will be announced.

The Sunday has a half day programme of speaking topics. The full programme for both days can be found on this website.

Our programme of speakers & topics will inspire & educate us all. We have two amazing key note speakers in Mark Galer, Adobe Ambassador and author of some 17 Photography books & the Programme Director of BA Photography at RMIT University. Our other key note speaker is Philip Andrews, who is the author of some 50 titles & an Alpha/Beta tester for Adobe digital photography products & acts as an Ambassador for the company in Aust & NZ.

Mark Galer & Philip Andrews will be presenting a varied line-up of topics, mostly focused around a better understanding and using the fabulous Adobe products that we all rely upon so much in our image editing.

Please note that we are offering many different convention registration options; from full registration that includes dinner, to registration to either one or both day sessions only.
